Warning - You will fall head over heels in love with this brand and want ALL THE THINGS!

I started following RRR on instagram after seeing a friend (Stace) and her kids wearing some of their pieces. I soon began to realise this brand was something special. Watching their stories it became clear how much love is poured into this company and how they work endlessly to ensure that their products are as sustainable, stylish and as easy to wear as possible!

The entirely female team (YESSS!!!) ethically design, create patters and hand make each item to order. There is SO much attention to detail that it is untrue! Each item is carefully thought out balancing longevity of wear and ease of movement (or play). The designs can be mixed and matched and styled in different ways. For instance, the buttons on Nola's 'Nancy Pinafore Dress' (currently in the sale!) is designed to have the buttons running down the back but we also love it with the buttons at the front. Women's wear takes into account the different stages of womanhood and dresses can be worn normally or even when blessed with a growing bump. I was nervous my dress would be too puffy if it had the ability to accommodate a bump (I am fairly small) - I needn't have worries, it is the most gorgeously, comfortable and beautiful dress that I have ever owned and I feel like a total babe in it! Items have options to add pockets/frills/ties/ sleeve lengths etc and the team are more than helpful when you drop them a DM. I spoke with Ellie lots on insta, she is one of the newer members of the team and my, oh my, she has so much talent. She knew the items inside out and suggested how I may ant alterations to suit my fit. The customer service is second to none! Ellie's sewing skills (like the other ladies) are also immaculate! (I know this as each item in your parcel has the name of the lady that made it! -How wonderful is that!)

Sustainability is key for this eco conscious brand, their clothing is made from Oeko Tex Certified or GOTS Organic fabrics (read this as the nicest, besets quality linen you have ever felt) and patterns are made to be seasonless. Scraps are kept for training and customers are offered a RRR reward for the return of used, worn out RRR items who's recovered fabrics are used elsewhere in the UK to make new products. If you keep an eye out on insta stories too you will often see preloved items listed at a discounted price for sale, get your name and size on the waiting list for first dibs!

Despite RRR's designs being such special pieces, they are far from hard to care for. I simply pop mine in a 30 degree wash cycle then hang to dry. As they are linen they don't take long to dry and I iron if needed when they are a tad damp.

Finally, this is a biggie. Red Roux Rouge are a non profit company. Yes the team are all on a fair wage, but any profit is donated to two amazingly deserving charities. The Linus Project Uk who care for sick or terminally ill children (they donated lactation hearts and comfort blankets whilst the owner of RRR's children were in intensive care) and The PANDAS Foundation who offer support and advise to parents with perinatal mental illness (they supported RRR's owner through NICU Trauma). There are so many things to love about this company. I honestly didn't think I could like them any more, then I received Nola's dress and I did. Simply the best quality clothing I have ever seen!

Celia Blouse

-With Peter Pan collar and puff sleeves in

-In charcoal washed linen

(Currently out of stock but similar to the Mimi Blouse which is in the sale!)

What a a gorgeous piece this is. Nola loves the peplum on this and the gathered detailing and puff sleeve detailing is simply beautiful. I love the laid back look of the charcoal with the fancier shape. This is so versatile, It could easily

be paired with bloomers or leggings and would be great on a warm day or paired with a cardi on a breezier day.

Rosa Ruffle Culottes

-In charcoal grey

I LOVE these. They fit Nola a dream (we normally struggle with trousers as she has a tiny waist) and are so comfortable for her to play in. The trousers have an elasticated waistband which sits comfortably and means Noo can take herself to the toilet easily (win win for me). Nola normally insists on wearing dresses but I think the frill on these win her over. She loves this outfit and so do I. These trousers are such a unique pattern and really fancy up the outfit. I love the cropped length too.

Nancy Pinafore Dress

- With ruffles

- In white washed linen.

(currently on sale)

Is this not the most dreamy dress you have ever seen! I LOVE this dress, I literally gasped when I unwrapped it. The shape and fit of it is unreal. I love the ruffles and how extra they look, but they are totally comfortable and easy to wear at the same time. Nola is super comfortable in this and it fits an absolute dream. She looks like she has walked straight out of a fairytale!

Sunday Trousers

-In charcoal washed linen.

These trousers co-ordinate with Nola's outfit and my mama heart nearly burst when they were matchy matchy. Again, These are fabulous. The cut is great, they fit Ez really well. We sized up as Ez suits a super slouchy style and I quite like a turn up on trousers. The waistband is elasticated with no fiddly fastenings and it sits comfortably. Ez really likes these and when he tried them on he refused to then take them off. They are so easy to play in and such a gorgeous fabric to have against your skin. As with all the RRR designs you can choose from a beautiful selection of fabrics - These even come in a denim.

Ladies Muriel Tie Top

-In oatmeal washed linen

What a dreamboat of a top. This has had alll the love on insta. This can be tied at the front in a bow or I like to wear it wrapped over and tied at the back. Here I wore it with some highwaisted jeans and nothing underneath. I felt like I should be strolling down Bondi beach, green smoothie in hand! The dream! I love the wide sleeves and that the length can be customised. This is also fab thrown over a slip dress- a definite must pack for a holiday! This is so versatile and seasonless.

Ladies Nancy Pinafore Dress

- With ruffles and side ties

-In black washed linen

The Mama version. This dress is everything, such a clever design. Ruffles are optional but will indeed make you feel invinsable. Also, tie sides are an option. The dress is designed to fit women well even with a growing bump. I was a tad nervous about this. I have finished having babies and am quite small, things can drown me. I assumed as this could fit a bump it would make me look frumpy. It doesn't at all. It fits a dream and is so flattering (as a plus it means you can eat all the pasta without a care in the world!). I tie the side ties at the back to clinch it in a tad more. The best bits - so many comments R.E this on stories when I posted my outtake - POCKETS! This is not a drill...the dress has pockets (and big ones at that!). I love this dress - I think it may be my favourite thing in my wardrobe. In the on/off weather at the moment I style it with a denim jacket and high-ups when it is a tad cool.

All the item names are linked to the wonderful RRR site. But if you just fancy a blouse click here. Or to go straight to their instagram click here! Give them some love and share this blog to show some support! They are a fantastic brand!

All items were gifted. Nola's Nancy pinafore for a review on a previous blog and all other items for photographs. X

I am definitely no chef. I like my recipes easy and quick. I am also notoriously bad and pancakes - I just burn the pans and make a mess. BUT, these worked a treat and looked pretty good too! I posted a pic on FB and on Insta and was asked for the recipe so here it is.

For The Pancakes

-300g SR flour

-1tsp baking powder

-1 tbsp caster sugar

-400ml soya milk (I recon any plant milk will work)

Method - Pop it all in a mixing bowl and mix. Straight forward! I use a ladle to measure out small dollops into a frying pan. I used olive oil to stop it from sticking as it was on hand, most recipes suggest veg oil.

Compote

I honestly have no idea why people slave away making jam. This was so easy and quick and mega delicious. It can stay in the fridge for up to 3 weeks (I think this is why - it doesn't store as long as jam) and is perfect for on cereal, porridge, on flapjack and buns etc.

-500g berries (I used about 150g of blackcurrants freshly picked from the garden mixed with frozen berries)

-100g caster sugar

-splash of orange juice

Method - Pop it all in a stainless steel pan and pop it on the hob- keep staring till it resembles a jammy/compote consistency.

Yummy Extras

I used hotel Chocolate vegan buttons which melted deliciously on the warm compote. The kids who aren't vegan (god damn it) had marshmallows and some choppy fingers crushed and sprinkled on top. If anyone could recommend some vegan marshmallows that would be fab!

I am so looking forward to making these again, maybe they will pass my Mum's seal of approval?
